Who am I?

A short video introducing Leon Hawthorne, host of The Leon Hawthorne Show.

VIDEO SCRIPT:

Who am I?
I’m Leon Hawthorne.
I created this show for social media, web and mobile.
That’s where more and more of us get our news, these days.
There’s a lot of noise out there, so I thought I could add a little light.

I used to be a World News Anchor for CNN, in Atlanta and London.
And for the US business network, CNBC.
I covered politics for the BBC, for whom I was a member of the lobby, the group of political correspondents that get daily briefings at 10 Downing Street.
I was founder and CEO of the satellite and cable station, the Baby Channel; and also CEO of Simply TV and Book Zone TV, which featured interviews with bestselling authors.
Latterly, I’ve worked as a consultant on digital content strategy for the London Evening Standard, the Independent and Hearst Magazines, which owns titles like Esquire, Cosmopolitan and Men’s Health.

The aim of this show is to delve into hot topics, outline the facts and for me to share my opinion.
I’m independently minded. Don’t belong to any political party.
I describe myself as libertarian, utilitarian and iconoclastic.
And if you don’t know what that means, keep watching…
